Daystar Install

Installed the daystar 2.5/1.5 and spidertrax wheel spacers yesterday. Thankfully I had one of my mechanically inclined buddies help me out.

We did front and rear with spacers in a little under 4 hours, and that includes a 30 minute break. Went much smoother than I had anticipated. We had more problems with rebolting the lateral bar on the rear than anything else. Coil went right in on both rears.

As soon as we finished it I went and dropped it off at my local mechanic shop for an alignment and the tire swap (265-70-17 dueler rh/s).

The FJ coils are not necessary but they do add a small amount of lift when paired with the DS 2.5/1.5

Ooops. Ok, i read several sig descriptions and I see the FJ mod is commonlycombined with the daystar lift.
A forum faux pas on my part!

Many feel the FJ Coils also dramatically improve the ride of the Runners as well. I am one that can attest to that.

I had a difficult time getting that rear lateral bar back in place too (and I worked by myself unfortunately). It took some creativity to get back in.

I'm just wondering how you did it? In hindsight, I would have not unbolted it.

Finally got her all done and aligned.

Unbolted both sides, then bolted one and worked the other through, as in hammered the bolt through the hole and crossed our fingers not to screw up the threads.

Looks nice! Glad it all worked out. I basically did the same thing to the rear as well. Nothing beats some good sledge hammer action

I know what you are talking about, it happened to me as well. I loosened the bolts holding the shocks (I think...it has been a while), raised/lowered the pumpkin til I got the lateral bar all lined up, used a rubber mallet and it went right in. Then I tightened the Lateral bar first followed by all the other bolts.
