Daystar Kit Differences

kit # 1
the spring seats into the lip visible on the spacer

kit #2
the spacer sits on top of the spring, u can see on the spacers in this kit that they taper in a lil, that tapered part sits inside the spring

I put the DS 2.5/1.5 on my 03 SR5, my rear spacers were like the ones in the second kit.
Hope this helps. I didn't check pricing of the two but I would go with the 1st set. I think they would leave less room for error when re installing the springs.

When I search the Internet for the part # from the first link on daystars website everyone lists it as a 2" rear lift.

The first link is on amazon for $116 for just the 1.5" but again it states 2" but has the part number form daystars website that states 1.5".

The second one is only 39.99 from 4wheelsparts. Pretty high difference in price. for supposedly two different 1.5" lifts from the same company.

I would email DS with both part numbers and ask them. For that much of a price difference its def worth checking into. I would guess they are both 1.5" but who knows, contact DS

Did you ever figure out the differences between these two spacers? I'm looking for a 1.5" rear spacer to go along with my Bilstein 5100s and FJ springs, and would much rather pay $40.

Not sure about the differences but I installed the second one. It was a little hard to install it because it just sat on top of the spring as opposed to the one that has the grove that looks like it would stay on better when maneuvering it back into place. I did get the full 1.5" so I'm happy with it. You can't beat the price.

FYI i just ordered OME stuff, I'm getting ready to sell my daystar 2.5/1.5 stuff for cheap along with my airlift 1000 air bags. Pm me if interested I'm going to put it in the classified section soon. Here's how she sits with all that stuff.
