Daystar spacer lift

hey there everyone, i know there's a thread out there somewhere that prob has this info but..... was curios about the rear when i install the spacers, what kind of shock should i use a stock KYB style or a shock made for lift

It depends on what type of driving you do/plan to do and how tall your spacers are.

A lifted rear end will move the shaft in the shock body so damping may change. The shock may also be too short now that the rear is lifted. A Tokico Trekmaster is an OEM type shock that is slightly stiffer and longer than stock. Lifted options include the Tundra Bilstein 5100's which are quite a bit longer.

Lifts that are 2+ inches require changes to bump stops and brake lines. The extended travel requires the changed bump stops and shocks. The extra distance can also put tension on the rear brake line so check those too.

I just ordered the Daystar lift. Have you already installed the lift?

not yet but seems like a pretty solid cheep set up, was waiting to by strut and shocks to install

what size tires do you plan on running?

prob going to stick with 265/75r16, have the discover ATP on my Tahoe like them alot and can get a good deal so im thinking that route but 285/75r16 is a possibility to

New Rubber

almost ready to put lift on slapped some new rubber on 265/75r16
