daystar vs cornfed?

any particular reason everybody runs cornfed instead of daystar? I'm aware of their construction differences (aluminum versus plastic)

Anybody who's got daystar have any complaints? Any unusual noises?

i dont have experience in the issue, but i was always force-fed that cornfed is better, but again, i have no real experience

I have daystar, I got it cause it was alot cheaper (bought it off another member) I have absolutely no complaints about it, It is a 2 inch front kit (makes it really level) there is no noise and handles and feels exactly like stock. no one knows that it is lifted.

Daystar here, do a search or read my write up and you will find out why. Basically I preferred Daystars sizing of the preload vs. top out spacer. They may both give nearly the same lift, but accomplish it via a different sizing or preload and top out spacer. Each affects the vehicle differently but accomplishes the same look.

It's not plastic, it's polyurethane, big difference.
And for spacers it's a better choice.
And there are choices other than Daystar, check Energy and Prothane

Cornfed here. Easy install. It does accomplish the front lift by adding more droop. The rear is still a poly spacer. The front I like because the ride quality is stock, just higher. An under top hat spacer will stiffen the ride. The cornfed bolt to the top of the strut.

Right now I love it. I like that I have stock ride quality with more ground clearance. I have heard of some Cv boot issues and uca issues. I will cross that bridge when I get to it. Cvs will always be a weak link. And with the uca I will either upgrade the arm or go to a beefier greasable ball joint.
