Hey all,
The stars have somehow aligned and I'll be able to sneak away for a day trip out to GRSF on Wednesday after Christmas.
Right now it's just me in my truck and a buddy in his H1 Hummer, but figured I'd throw out an open invite to area members needing a break from extended family, kids, etc.
The plan is to meet in Frederick, MD in the morning, fuel up, then caravan West to GRSF. Snack/lunch on the trail, then motor back home late afternoon/evening.
For folks that haven't been there, GRSF is about 45,000 acres of mostly fire roads, some mud, a little rock, small hill climbs. Nothing a stock truck can't handle.
The state, in its infinite wisdom, closed the dedicated ORV trail there recently. Having said that, one of the two gates to this area has remained open for the last year and there are multiple other side trails that should keep things interesting.
If you're interested, reply in the main thread here and I'll keep a tally so we don't leave without anyone that morning.
