DC/VA/MD - Greenridge State Forest trail ride 28DEC16

I took the Off-Road 101 course up there completely stock (including tires). Great learning experience and something I would highly recommend if you can swing it. Here are some pics and a description of what the day was like. Only damage I had was to the stock skid plates. If you have someone with local knowledge and a good spotter you can do the greens and some blues completely stock. I also recommend removing any running boards you don't want damaged though (at least that's what I did).

I'm more interested in the 201 course, but if you guys are doing both days I'd be into going up to hang out. Maybe grab some beers/food and camp in between.

If you folks do decide to take the back-to-back courses call in. They may offer a discount for that.

I took 2 x 101 and 1 x 201 with Kyle Buchter and a guided ride at AOAA with him. Great instructor and has a wealth of experience and knowledge about off-roading, over-landing, vehicle setups and the like. No books, maybe a pamphlet, just straight forward behind-the-wheel learning, stories and instructions over the provided FRS radio. Make sure to keep watch for the driver in your mirror and enjoy the experience!
