So I scored a 2004 white sports edition v8to replace my old 2005 4runner I regretted selling. Thanks to the hail storm in Denver last year, if you don’t mind dings you can save big! The dings are mostly on the roof so I could care less. So here is the plan.;
-Front Arb or Shrockworks (Like the arb style and can get it in days not months) with smittybuilt 12 or 10k winch?
-Rear CbI tire/cans/table.
-Gobi stealth Rack with 40 led ordered...just waiting.
-4x4 innovations sliders
-Fj80 snorkel (already ordered)
-dometic cfx65
-awning
Suspension. Lost here. There is so much out there now. Looking to be able to adventure and do trails to get to back country camping and play in some rocks if needed, but I have a jeep for the big stuff and would like to keep this dd friendly. Looking for 2-3 inches I supposed, but want it still road friendly. Do I need a body Lift? I know I want better control arms? I prefer dispersed camping.
I have started to baseline the rig. It has 180k. Replaces the brakes and rotors. Changing fluids. Front left cv needs to be replaced. I’ll just do both at the same time. Any suggestions on a brand to use? Added rear cargo Led lights. Torn on a rear cargo drawer because the last one I built I couldnt figure out a good way to store pieces the cover the back seat to sleep in, but store when not in use in the truck. I’ll throw dual batteries and maybe a fj locker and call it a day?
