Actually $7200 can buy A LOT of 4x4 4Runner these days.

Check out this build thread. He bought his 99 SR5 4x4 155k mile rig here in high prices SoCal for only $6900.

My point is there will always be other 4Runner out there and most buyers are reasonable enough to sell for no more than KBB. Maybe $500 over KBB if it is a great rig but $1200 over????

Nice 3rd gens aren't getting more common and if the condition is solid and has some maintenance records then paying a little of a premium may be worth it. I've got 179k on my truck and it's in good shape and runs like a top and I have every receipt for all the work done since '03 would help mine sell for around $7000 but Colorado is ga-ga over 4Runners.

I don't think a 99 with 150K is "a lot" of 4Runner. When you think about it 7200 is less than 20% of a new SR5. I guess everyone looks at it differently. If I find a great condition 3rd with low miles I definitely buy it. I just paid 5800 for a 98 with 113K very well maintained miles. KBB was about 4000. NADA was 6625. Quite a difference if I don't say so. I overpaid and I'm very happy to have it.
