Dealer cost to replace 140amp Fuse?

Not sure about the price but here is what they do:

The Antman thread shows how he soldered in a replacement fuse on top of the blown fuse leads. He had to trim the contacts a little to get it to fit.

This is a viable repair if you solder it properly. If you want the dealer to replace the fuse I bet you’d get charged 1 to 1.5 hours of labor plus the part. I’d estimate $250.

lol yeah I tried Antman's fix, but my soldering abilities are non-existent. So i started to break the fuse box apart, managed to remove it from the base, but i drew the line when it came to separating the individual pieces of it due to the force required.
Dealer's charging me 2 hrs labor at 119/hr. I can stomach that.

well then there is the fact that the tech doing it has probably never done it before either, so you now run into the fact that the tech may trash it worse than you taking it apart and you KNOW there is a real good chance they will just put it back together "broken" without telling you, not always but i have seen that happen more than once.

True, however if they screw up it’s on them to make it right. This isn’t good dealership though, bout to head up to get it.

Appreciate it. Just got it back and all is right with the world again. $241, and $15 for the fuse. They did a really good job actually.
There’s a lot of reassurance knowing how damn durable these things are, even if this fuse setup will leave ya stranded If you blow it. Was worried the surge may have scrambled ECUs which would’ve been doubly troubling since I’m supercharged. The stress was real.
Will definitely install the bypass next.

Fuse panel under dash 06 4runner V8
So the battery in my 2006 4runner sports edition V8 blew up and threw battery acid all over the eng compartment on me the other day. Every light on the dash turner on and there was smoke/smell that came out from behind the stereo. Windshield wipers went crazy and wouldn't stop even if the switch was in the off position. After replacing the battery it started, but only the 4H, 4L, check eng, down hill control, and one other light I forgot which one it was came back on. After I got it home I realized that the fob, locks, and windows don't work. Then I disconnected the battery took apart the dash couldn't find anything wrong. So I took it to the dealership and they told me the 140 fuse was blown and the fuse panel under the dash needs to be replaced. After I gave the dealership the ok to replace everything they said the fuse panel (part # 82141-35B41) was discontinued by Toyota. It seems that the Service writer isn't wanting to help me out since they have had my 4runner for almost 2 weeks with no updates on finding a replacement. Can anyone help me out?

Try a junkyard for the fuse panel.
