@OP. Why don't you just post the msrp off the Monroney sticker. That will put the good or bad of your price to bed, and Stiffy can then sleep at night.

Sticker MSRP is $39,415.
thats by far a loss. if you have USAA check it out OR truecar... they are the same (USAA uses truecar now). Just ran a quick extimate on a 2014 sr5 prem 4x4 with 3rd row and it is $34,805 with an MSRP of $39,790

My dealer wouldn't budge off of $39,2xx for a 4x4 SR5 premium with 3rd row (Larry Miller in Boulder, Colorado). I think anything under $37k is good.
I am saying that is the true car price before ttl. Granted prices are different depending on location my only point here is the dealer didn't make any special deal because of what happened. They just gave a fair price and made a touch less

Sounds like a typical GM dealership transaction. I hope one day all manufacturers go to direct buy method and eliminate the dealer sales experience. You're not really saving anything by shopping from dealer to dealer. These guys are not giving cars away and can only come down so much.

Same dealer quoted me on a 2015 Trail Premium with KDSS for 37,750. I think that is a reasonable deal (includes a $500 military rebate).

That's odd. I just ran a true car 2014 SR5 Prem 4x4 with ONLY a 3rd row seat and it came out at $36,166. MSRP was $38,810. Guess I live in an expensive zip code.....:noidea:

$34600 for '15 sr5 premium is a okay deal, nothing special. MSRP means nothing. It's their for goofballs that dont know how to negotiate. It makes them feel like they got a good deal.
You need to look up the true market value of the car like stifler suggested. Edmunds TMV is another site, although lately their pricing is on the higher side.
For reference, I bought my 2011 sr5 with 3rd row, 4x4, running boards, and tow package for $34k OUT THE DOOR. If you minus taxes and fees, it would end around 31k. Most people were paying 36k before taxes at that time. Either way, I got an okay deal, I could have gotten a better deal if I knew then what I know now

Funny thing is, I also ran a truecar for a rural midwestern zip code and the MSRP was 38845 and truecar was $36,176. Those numbers are the same as my expensive AZ zip code. :noidea: :noidea:

My wife is from Lombard and we just moved to Villa Park, I have taken my 4Runner to Elmhurst Toyota for all my service since moving back... I have heard that Lombard Toyota is pretty worthless. While it sounds like you got it worked out, your story will keep me going to Elmhurst Toyota...
