I had the timing cover leak repaired recently in March 2018. I have always cleaned my throttle body and MAF sensor. It was time for a cleaning and found that one of the 4 bolts that holds the throttle body was broken off. I know for a fact that the dealership did this because the throttle body hasn't been cleaned since I cleaned it. Can this be drilled out? I have to get an oil change/tire rotation soon so I'll bring it up to the service manager. Also, I haven't gotten any codes of a leak or such.

I guess it depends on why it broke. Did they just way over-torque it or is it now cross threaded? If somebody just made it too tight and the bolt had a blem you might be able to back it out. Your photo looks like there's a thread or so worth of bolt still poking out.
If it's cross threaded that's a different story. You may have to fight with that dealer to get them to replace that part. You could always repair it by drilling out the insert and running a bolt/nut all the way through but that would be pretty cheesy.
Maybe hit LKQ or a local junkyard to see if you can source that part but I'd definitely harass thee dealership first.

I over torqued and broke one of mine but enough was showing to get vise grips on it and back it out. Looks like that could work. You should know quickly by how easily it turns whether it’s cross threaded, right?
