Dear gents and maybe a few lady's.

When I unlock my truck my head lights turn on for like 15 seconds or some poop like that. Well here's my question and potential mod. I would like to put a courtesy light under the door (tucked under frame, facing the ground in front of the door) so I can see if a masked man or a bear trap is at my feet as I enter or exit.

Is there a way to make this happen? I don't want to wire it straight to my head lights because they would be on when I drive at night and that's for ricers.
So yeah, any ideas?

Wire it to your dome light. It will come on when you get in and out of the truck and will turn off when your interior lights go off.

I don't believe my dome comes on when my alarm unlocks and locks the doors.

I'm hoping to have it so i can see before I enter.

Crap, well thanks anyways. I hope some has a diff answer . I have a 97 with the stupid "gulf coast states" alarm and stuff .

Theres some lights on amazon that come with a remote. It's not the best solution but it does work for you.
