Dear Mods: Could you please update the quick reply code?

First, let me say, I love quick replies. Their very nature inspires me to comment more often. However, everytime I want to quick reply, I forget that i have to click on the reply button in someone else's post. Most of the time, this doesn't work and the quick reply box doesn't become active. Then I have to click on post reply, wait for another page to load, click submit and wait again. This often deters me from making a post. (I am that lazy )

Could you please update the code for the quick reply box to be active for all signed in members? This will save time and effort associated with replying and make everyone's life more efficient. Thank you!!

PS. I will still love the site and all of its community either way.

EDIT: Quick question. I've been lurking on here for over a year and I still don't know who is(are) the proprietor(s) of the site. Could anyone tell me? thanks

Good suggestion Clemsonfan15. The one in the ad doesn't work, but member posts' "quick reply" does work. Forgot about that... there was a discussion on it when the forum upgraded the software.

It did just work for me as well...maybe I have been clicking on the one in the ads since the forum update. don't I feel sheepish :| baaaa

Ok so not to start a new topic but this is happening for me for awhile now too. Very annoying to say the least. It says in quick reply to please click one of the quick reply icons in one of the posts above. I used to just be able to type directly in the reply box at the bottom and go. Is is me or is it the boards?

It's just you. No offense.

You have to click on the button that has a piece of paper and a feather before you can type. Make sure you don't click on the ad.

Nope. :nono: Just testing. I also found out that the time diff between the quick reply and the standard post reply/submit reply is about the same.

Came here looking for documentation... also a problem for me. Win 7 32 bit, IE 9. It is def annoying... any updates on what the issue is? Never seen this on any other forums, has to be something specific...

On this board, you have to click the "quick reply" button in the lower right corner of any post to activate the quick reply box. I've seen other vB boards that have the quick reply box active as default, no clicking required. Maybe that could be enabled here?
