They were taken at Loon Lake on top of the large granite slabs at the beginning of the Rubicon Trail.

again the only time I have ever heard or felt any kind of rubbing is while backing with the wheels turned full lock to one side. The inner tire (if wheel turned to full lock the the left... it would be the drivers side front tire) slightly catches the mud flap. It doesn't always do this just sometimes.

I really like that Strastophere Mica with the cladding. It was my second color choice. The last picture facing the rear really makes your Runner seem taller. I know the size difference between a 265/65 and 265/70 is marginal, but your rig looks substantially taller from the rear. Have you had any vibration problems? I have read people complaining about the need for excessive tire weights and drivetrain vibration.

I notice you also have the aFe filter, so do I. It came standard with the Borla set-up. Have you had any issues with the filter? I bought a K&N charger pack to clean and re-oil the filter element. Haven't tried cleaning the filter yet and absolutely no literature from Toyota on how to perform maintenance.

No problem... I, like most, enjoy spending time under it.

Zero vibration problems as of yet. Each tire took about 1.5 to 2.0 ounces of lead per tire. The only problem was from the installer airing the tires to 42 lbs. It made the vehical a bit darty at speed.

I have had no kind of issues at all except Great service out of it so far. I have had them in the past with other trucks and used the aFe filter cleaner/recharger... and I have used the K&N cleaner/recharger kit on them too. They appear to be the samething, with the same resaults, and with the same directions on it. They suggest 30,000 to 50,000 miles between cleaning, but mine was ready a lot earlier.

No problems with the aFe, I was just a little suprised that there was no literature on the product from Toyota. The service department where I bought the truck didn't have a clue as to how to clean it. I have 7,000 miles and will probably clean it at 12-15,000, it is not as dusty in Carolina as it is in N.California in September.

How long did you let it dry before re-oiling the cotton membrane? I'd hate to suck water into the MAF or intake.

Hey guys,

Have you had a chance to compare the speed/power of your 4 runners w/ the Borla's and K & N airchargers compared to a stock V8?

Also, and ideas as to whether Borlas or Flowmasters are better?

and goodness it is dry and dusty here...

I think I cleaned it early morning, set it out in the garage (in the shade) and then by early afternoon it was completely dry, but it was 112 degrees Feirt that day in the shade. Directions just stated to let air dry completely... not using compressed air or high pressure water to clean with. I quess it screws up the inards of the filter.

The compressed air will blow a hole in the delicate cotton filter fiber. I just ordered a 'V8iForce' black pearl emblem for my Runner. I'll try to post pics once I get it installed on the rear. I would be shocked if Toyota had forgotten to put a side emblem on your stock rig. Maybe it fell off in a high pressure wash?

WOW, sure enough, the passenger emblems are missing?

They may have, but since I have never seen it on there before and I have never used a high pressure wash on it either... I am hoping they will give me one.
