December short notice run - Cleghorn Sunday 12/4 - 9am!

So what's up with repeatedly running Cleghorn ...how many different ways can you run it before it gets boring? Flex the same ruts but on the passenger side this time? Drive on the left side of the trail this time? Drive it in reverse...gave me a kink in my neck just thinking about it.
this is the time and season to be running desert areas since it's a small window of opportunity to do so without running the risk of over heating your rig and enjoy the trails without needing a/c and sweating your ass off.
Cleghorn can be done all year around anytime..food for thought it's hard enough when we get time to go out and wheel, without work, wives, girlfriends,(hall pass denied), family, b-day party's, baby showers, weddings, relatives in town, pet dies, your rig is down n out busted, other hobbies and extra curricular activities getting in the way, so I would use them wisely.

Not trying to change FORErunner911 plans at all.
But if anyone wants to run something else I would be willing to do so that day or any other day just in case anyone else was wanting too...

I wanna go to the desert and do a video of all of us driving together

All good and understood. I've never been wheeling and I assumed Cleghorn was a good starting spot. Turned into something bigger.

Here's the genesis of this run. I was just hoping to tag along on a run!!

Anytime you can go wheelin is a good start especially with this group. Cleghorn was my first run and it was fun. Learned a lot from the vets. I weenied on some of the offshoots but wouldn't hesitate to do it now with Lola (2wd beast).

Something small wheelin suggestions usually turns into something bigger with this group which makes it fun. Go ballz out and enjoy!

Good shit Mac...
What you got luv for Lola again I figured she was abandoned and forgotten, left her for a old slow moving 4wd turtle ...seeing mine at DV got you motivated to take her out and let her play.

I was debating to take her to DV and should have. A little jellie on you guys just throttling up on the trail. I'll take her out when we go to Anza. I miss letting ger run and go wild! She'll be my desert rig. And yes you energized me!

Shit with all the money you spent on buying Lucy and all of her mods and upgrades you could have 4wd conversion Lola and TC long traveled her suspension making her a dream machine. Or SAS her ass if you prefer.

Drunner97 and Mac ..well I watched (a couple of times just now) my first memory card of many and it was of our After Hours Mengel Pass Moonshine Run ....it's pretty bad ass guys. I'm sure we are of very few to be able to claim that and to have it all on video. 40 mins long lol.
Onto the next memory card...well maybe just one more time of the after hours run first.

Well you did your research by going thru our old runs we have done in the past and "assumed" correctly. Which is way more than most newbs, good job by the way we can respect that.
I'm sure that's why you had so many replys and people jumping aboard willing to go out and wheel with you so you don't have to go alone to get your feet wet.
So your not tagging along if others are going to your posted Run ...and your never a tag along around here...all and anybody's posted runs in the SoCal section ....anyone is welcome if your available that day and capable(rig) after reading the posted Run.
If you would like to do a desert run on Sunday you/we all could pic a area and I will map it out or you can stick to your planned Cleghorn run. Either way we are there to wheel (tag along) with you and assist in anyway we can.

Only way that run could have been better is if we had actually scored the moonshine. So tempted to make an overnight run just to get that damned jar.

The mythical moonshine has eluted us this time, we'll be back for you, damn jar. Who sells moonshine at 630 am or better yet who's buying it at that time. Lol

FORErunner911 i can attest to this. i've been on one run with this group, learned a whole lot, got stuck and got help getting out, watched someone else get even more stuck and get winched out. tons of fun and great people to boot. i was thinking i was just "tagging along" with the group, but nah man... if you show up, you're in. if you don't, well, there's always next time but you're a weenie.

and now i regularly post in this local forum, and prefer posting my Q's in here (often in the BS thread) rather than the 3rd gen forum or other perhaps more subject-appropriate forum because i feel like i know and trust these guys.

I mean, I would be. haha. Pretty sure I was pouring KC into my tea at 7 or 8 anyway.
Pretty sure? Man you were! Don't sell yourself short. I think I only saw you drink bottled water 3 times during the entire time we were there! Other than that beer and whisky! Much respect!

Oh I had my fair share of water, it was just wrapped up in the Coor's Light! Really though I was pounding a bottle before I crashed for the night and I'd pound 2 or 3 throughout the day.

I was out of beer and I didn't want to mooch off you guys all day. Should have heard the racket when I emptied out the trasharoo though, hahha.
