and now i regularly post in this local forum, and prefer posting my Q's in here (often in the BS thread) rather than the 3rd gen forum or other perhaps more subject-appropriate forum because i feel like i know and trust these guys.

Everyone has done that at some point ...I did the exact same thing during the Calico Run we did and they were under my seat cushion ...you were there for it.

It was a badass run, just everything about it went smooth with no issues just a few moments.... but all ended in laughter. For being a week long trip I call that a perfect run and we didn't baby anything that we came across our entire route. There was no scheduled agenda or plan to stick too, the only one just one thing that we had to do was meet Mac at 2pm iat Panamint gas station and didn't matter how we got there just be there by 2 and it went perfect both party's arrived within 20 mins of each other and off we went with seriously no plan just said let's go in that direction and check it out since that's the direction the cabins were at that we wanted to get the following day for our thanksgiving dinner feast. And boom we got thee cabin of all cabins that everyone wants and within 10 mins of being the first ones to claim it three different groups started showing up to claim it within 10 mins of each other one after another and then another couple showed up at 130am to get it but only to find us there hahaha...looking back and typing this I realize your right ...this is the trip/Run of the year . Wait til you see some of the video ....I've watched a couple hours out of the 10 hours I have of video and haven't been bored. Another 2 hrs of it will be all the times I don't hit stop record when we stop to eat, take in the views and it's just still recording nothing but dust in the wind or some bushes blowing and is us gabbing it up cracking some beverages rec our conversation..wasting prime memory space..lol
It will be a *****in video...just hope I finish it. Haha

Another cool thing from the time I left my house to the time I arrived home 5 days later and pulled into the garage ....I was just shy of 17 miles making it a 1000 mile run.

Either one is an option, they can both go down some may go and do Cleghorn and others will want to do desert just need to pick an area. Or we all jump aboard on one area and have a good time either way.

Start up Berdoo canyon >Pinkham canyon>Porcupine Wash>Up Brooklyn Mine Rd>Ok Mine Rd > Iron Age Rd> loop down the wash back towards the 10 fwy exiting out an undisclosed Canyon putting us right back where we started Dillon Rd and the 10 fwy for everyone to head home.

Mecca Area:
Start up Red Cloud Canyon Mine Rd > Corn Springs Rd > Petroglyphs Canyon> Amy's Wash > Bradshaw Trail > Goodwin Trail > Mecca Slot Canyons and soft sand washes,spines,tunnels playground area for a bit > Meccatopia Trail > stopping at undisclosed secret place (the Eagles made a song about it) > Box Canyon Rd > ending right where we started at the 10 fwy/Chiraco Summit exit.

guys (and gals?), my stoke meter is rising and it's only thursday. looks like there's gonna be a pretty good turnout! i plan on bringing a 12pack of brews and a 5g jug of water in case anybody needs it. i have zero recovery gear and no CB/HAM radio. i'll just yell really loud if i need to get anyone's attention.

I'm down with either or, seems like most are hitting cleghorn which is fine. Has anyone done cleghorn with 2wd?? Is it worth it? I wanna do more than fire road driving but not break my daily driver! Input???
