December short notice run - Cleghorn Sunday 12/4 - 9am!

I'm down with either or, seems like most are hitting cleghorn which is fine. Has anyone done cleghorn with 2wd?? Is it worth it? I wanna do more than fire road driving but not break my daily driver! Input???

Hell YES! I and [MENTION=117408]Oneluv13T4R[/MENTION] have done cleghorn, pilot rock, calico, burns canyon, jacoby canyon on 2wd. Miah has rear lockers but I didn't have rear lockers when I did it. Long story short, yes you can do it. You may not be able to do the some of the steeper offshoot without locker but you can do a lot.

guys (and gals?), my stoke meter is rising and it's only thursday. looks like there's gonna be a pretty good turnout! i plan on bringing a 12pack of brews and a 5g jug of water in case anybody needs it. i have zero recovery gear and no CB/HAM radio. i'll just yell really loud if i need to get anyone's attention.

No problem, I'll have you doing everything but the fire Roads and not break anything. Do you still have stock running boards on your rig? Stock tires?

No personal experience but based on my research many people have gone w/ stock 2wd 4R's. Not sure about the off-shoots but I'm certain people with experience will steer you in the right direction (pun intended).

I'm going with a mostly-stock TE w/ KDSS but will stay on all the fire-roads and spectate the crazier stuff

I've done Cleghorn like twice last month lol. I'll do a few climbs but I mainly want to get sick ass footage for you guys since there's more people going. Gonna fly my new drone out too but the battery lasts only 30 minutes max so only the select few will be on video

That's just crazy talk ..the excuse of a weenie. Why even post a comment if you have no intent on coming or going anyways, what's the point? So we know you have a new rig and try to talk you into it even though you think that would be "pushing it" babying it is the only damage your doing.
How are you " pushing" your rig driving on a dirt fire road? seriously?! How is it you think by going out on some dirt trails your gonna push your rig? A rig that was designed purposely for off road wheeling adventures in almost any conditions...it will definitely handle anything your gonna throw in front of it. Your "pushing" it by not using all of its off road features and functions. There's been plenty of members with brand new trd pro rigs fresh off the lot show up to each of the runs we do....Your rig wouldn't even break a sweat at Cleghorn it's like leaving the traning wheels on your bike And just cruising on a dirt road with a cool back drop and killer views to take in. Honestly the only thing flinching will be you cause your rig won't even be phased by it or even come close to being "pushed" ...that's funny.
Come out check it out and have a goodtime if you need any help, assistance or questions that's what were there for if wheeling is something new for you.

My truck only has about 1,400 miles and I've been to Hungry Valley, Dove Springs, and Jawbone Canyon. Nothing in the manual says don't go off-roading...in fact, it specifically says you should use the 4x4 system once a month for about 10 miles to keep all the parts lubricated.

It's not fun getting dings/scratches on a new truck, but those give trucks character...just like scars on a person.

Been putting off the Tacoma stuff for 3 weeks. If I didn't need the alignment, I'd be rolling. My camber on my driver side is all screwed up.

No running boards, I need to get some sliders!!! I've got 285/70/17 with the kings up front at 2.5...I think I have ok clearance
