Decent deal if anyone is looking SC 98 rear locker 138k $6800

Interior looks like crap for an asking price of nearly seven grand IMO. I can understand a torn driver's seat but even the passenger side looks like a toddler took a screwdriver to it. The dollar store floor mats aren't helping.
 
Hey I saw that one on my craigslist the other day too, it's got the locker, miles, and super charger goin for it, but based just on pics I feel it wasn't babied or taken care of much. I sure would love a super charger though.

Nothing of what he says matched up to the description of the add. Also he will not take pictures of anything else you ask of him.


Afraid its a scam or possibly a mock crime like that poor old couple.

I did infact buy the black 01 4wd from atlanta. Picked up and drove home yesterday.

Sweet, I have been eyeing that one. It had low miles and was a 1 owner. I would have bought it if I didn't just get one. The one in Macon I talked two back in November and he did send me some more pics but like you something seemed off. The listing now has way better pics than his add he had on there before. Maybe it is legit. How were the front seats on the one you got? Looked like it may have had some matching seat covers covering the original ones.

For sure. I wish I would've screen shot what he said. I asked him if he was firm on the price and he replied on what??

Then the mileage in the add and what he said was way off along with the price. I asked for pictures and he said he wouldn't take anymore and to trust him. Then trying to setup a time to come see it was just not happening.

The 01 I got isn't bad. Of course the dealer tried to make it a limited with added leather and wood. The wood will be coming off and the seats aren't that bad.

The pictures DID the truck justice. The hood needs a respray due to left on bird droppings.
You can tell the truck was regularly run thru the machine wash with all the swirls.

Other than that its not bad for 5k. He originally was wanting 6500 and it was on ebay. the bfg ko's still have a good bit of life left and he does have extensive maintanence history with the toy shop. Loads of receipts.

It has an intermittent CEL which codes cat per what he says but I'm willing to bet it just needs O2 sensors.

Not a bad buy. No rust under it either. He was the 2nd owner as well.

Gotcha, I remember that one as well. Looks really good. A silver one in sandy springs just posted with 140k and service records. It looks really nice.

haha. I know what you mean.

Not one I've come across yet was as clean as my 01 limited 2wd. It was over 200k but inside and out it looked like it had barely 100k on it. It definitely spoiled me.

Sounds like you Georgia guys have some good deals going on down there. I'm still trying to find something up here in North Carolina (or SC if it's worth the drive) for as good a deal as yall are turning up. I'm in no rush though, so I'm holding out knowing something will come along.

I'm not personally worried about mileage at all especially after getting a binder full of maintenance receipts upon purchasing. My previous 210k and the 240k rode and looked much nicer inside and out then most 150-200k 4WD's I came across locally. Not to mention thankfully not 1 spec of rust.

Most of the lower mileage 4wd I came across were selling much higher then they book. Not a problem with me IMO but more then I cared to spend.

Again if this thing wasn't maintained as well as it was I more then likely would've offered much less or passed.
