Decided to keep my old runner.

I was contemplating getting a third gen but decided to keep mine. Just dropped 2k on complete tranny/transfer case rebuild and new tires. Next is lockers then some custom armor.
Went with 31x10.5 duratracs. To bad my old wheels are a bit beat up.

I know the feeling... Keep wanting to get a 3rd or even a 5th Gen. Would be nice to have power EVERYTHING! But I just can't seem to part with my 88. My wife thinks I'm crazy.(hell I know I am). Ive owned it for nearly 20 yrs. now and 240K miles. She still runs like a champ! And the 4RNR ain't so bad either!

I've always loved the 2nd gen body. She is running as smooth as a top(knock on wood). No plans for any suspension work. The front end is nice and tight and I just put new axles and bilstiens in. My long term plan is to make it a camping/trail rig and go for a SAS.

For now I think I have settled on a couple Aussie lockers and plan on pulling the running boards and building sliders for it, along with a rear bumper. I have a couple HID lights from my old buggy that I need to mount up somehow too.

Lots of plans!
