Deciding between these 2 wheels

I am going back and forth between these two wheels. One is the MB 72 similiar to the ATX Mojave. The other is the MB TKO. I believe the 72 is a 17 x 8.5 with 4.5 backspacing and -6 offset and the TKO is also a 17 x 8.5 with 3.5 backspacing and +25 offset. I will have 285/70/17 tires with them. I like them both just need second or third opinions. Let me know and opinions on either.

Eeeeeee... At first I was like, "Oh the first ones are NICE." Then I saw the second one and now I know why you are having trouble deciding.

They both are great. I guess if you're looking for a slightly more traditional wheel, go with the 1st. I think the second one is a little more aggressive looking.

If it were me, I'd probably choose the second one.

I normally don't like steering a person toward a particular wheel (I consider those very specific to the person's tastes, not something to choose by committee), but since you're asking, here's another opinion: to me, the 72 has a no-nonsense, tough-guy look, while the other has more "flash" appeal. They're both nice looking--I'd say the 72 to make the truck look "beefy", the other if you want more attention (especially on the street). There, now you have $.04 to work with!

Thanks for the input, Thats what I was thinking also. I don't to worry about my wheels getting scratched while wheelin either. Is the -6 offset gonna stick the wheel out too far though?

One other thing to consider--if you're going to get very serious on the trails, that wheel with the spokes out to the rim is going to get chewed up, while the first one will only scrape the rim. Along those same lines, is the 72 steel? If it is, it will hold up much better as well--aluminum and rocks do not play well together.

Ya, I am starting to realize that (about the mall parking lot) Anyone have any expertise about the different specs of the wheels. how each of them will sit on the truck? I put the specs in the original post.

I'm afraid I've never looked into the wheel backspacing/offset measurements for these yet (haven't needed to--kept same wheels so far). You may want to just go out and do some measuring, like laying a straight edge across the mounting face, then measuring back to the first obstacle inside, and to the lip of the wheelwell outward--at least that way you'll be armed with some numbers for comparison.

The first rims look like plain winter black steely rims to me. I know they aren't but they look it.

I like the second set best.

Which one weighs less?

they look good! i just got these same wheels on my 3rd gen and i love them! i went in to discount tire with a different wheel in mind, and then i saw these on display and i was sold. i particularly like the fact that they are 8.5" wide. good choice...

Personally I would go with the one that give you a wider stance. This will allow you to minimize the need for spacers and will reduce body roll in and out of turns. They definitely will not stick out too far.
