I'd consider the the, like a Chevy Silverado and a GMC Sierra. The gx470 isn't really a luxury land cruiser because the land cruiser is already luxury. There hasn't been much distinction in them in quite a few years
You are incorrect.
The GX470, 4th gen 4Runner, and 2nd gen Taco were all built off the Toyota 120 platform. Their frames were all related. The Gx470 and 4th gen 4Runner had the same V8, transmission, center diff, and axles.
What you are thinking of is the LX570. The LX is basically a Land Cruiser with a better interior and different front and rear clips.
But the GX470 is not the same as the LX570.
