Hello everyone im new here, but have owned my 05 4runner for almost a year but have been reading on this site almost about 5 months but just now decided to become a member. Ive been thinking about doing some upgradeds to my stock 05 sr5 v6 4 runner. The first thing ive done so far is i bought some leather seats off ebay for 200 dollars that came out of one of those hurricane katrina flood damaged car. NOw i want to either get a set of 20" rims w/new tires, or a navigation system. As i was reading on here earlier more people have been getting the Eclipse Avn 5435, rather then the stock oem. Which one is better to get? And if i buy a navigation off the net will my local toyota dealrship install it for me? also another thing is will my steering wheel controlls still work wtih the new navigation/stero system? I foudn this deal on ebay and wanted to know if it is a good deal, It coems with the navigation, 6 disc cd changer, alpine tv tuner w/remote, and the guy also said he would throw in the reverseing camera..Eclipse Avn 5435

so what do yall think i shoudl do? Go for the navigation or hold off and buy me a set of rims first?

I'd have a professional stereo shop install the navigation unit for you. The Dealership isn't trained in custom installs. The steering wheel controls should continue to work.

Before you jump on dubs you should -seriously- think about it and sleep on the idea. the smaller sidewalls of the tires will cut down noticeably on the smooth ride of the vehicle with the stock suspension. And it's a modification that you don't ever get to see/use/playwith... the nav unit is something you can play with! Not to mention.. how many times do you look at someones car with just a blinged out set of wheels and think... what a waste? or make fun of them. Of course, now that you'll have them you'll feel different about it because they're yours.. but other people will still look at it the same way
