Deck-plate Mod. Note

I finally got around to dong a simple deck plate mod to my '98 ltd.
I had already installed a K&N filter last fall.
I picked up a PVC 4" floor drain at Home depot, used a 4" hole saw and set the sucker in w/ RTV sealant. Pulled & returned the computer fuse to reset system.
With 1st. full tank of gas I went up to 21.6 mpg. from my ave. of 17-19 mpg.
I'll verify that figure the next few tank fulls.
I'm impressed.

Very interesting. I did not think that that big of a jump was possible. I am curious to see if it continues to stay that high.

WOW! Keep us updated on the MPG.

I picked up at least 1mpg with a Fram Air Hog filter. My old filter was pretty new also.
I was looking into the deckplate mod too.

I get consistently 21-22 mpg with a combo of city/hywy

I was about 19-20 before I upgraded to the Air Hog.
