Dee Zee NXC Running Boards on Limited

Finally installed the DeeZee NXC running boards on my 2011 Limited 4WD. I made a modification by adding automotive weather stripping to cover the body gap and so that the mounting brackets cannot be seen from the side of the vechicle.

Looks good, I have the same ones. How did you attach the weatherstripping?

The weather stripping was mounted to the boards by removing the bolts on the side of the running boards and placing the weather stripping between the boards and the bolts. Simple

No, it's very easy. Basic hand tools.

NavyChief- I have had the exact same ones on my LE for about a year now and they are holding up just fine. The chrome has some scratches on it but that is understandable given that you actually stand on them. I have been very pleased with them overall! Just my 2 cents- hope it helps.

After about a month, the chrome has turned yellow. In additon, the boards are too low for me to go off roading so they have been removed.

I called Dee Zee and they said they have never heard of any issues with the chrome, still... I tend to listen to those with real working experience like those on the forum.

Anyone else have any issues? I like the way the chrome looks (I have the same gray 4runner with the chrome trim under the doors so it matches up nicely) but also like the black on black version, especially if there are any issues with the chrome.

Anyone else with any experience (good or bad) with the Dee Zee NXc boards commenting is appreciated.

A little thread revival - and I'll hit this one thread since there are a few on Dee Zee's:

Has anyone else with the Dee Zee running boards had an issue with the yellowing? Or any other major concerns now that they've been on for a bit? I'm considering finally buying a set sometime this summer. Any feedback, good or bad would be much appreciated.

I have had my chrome ones on for about a year and have had no problems with yellowing or anything else for that matter. Few scratches from my feet but thats about it.

Black on Black

I was more concerned with the problematic shipping damage that others have posted about.

I ordered the black running boards, with black trim, this past weekend. They arrived today, and the box appears to be undamaged. I'll know more when I go to install them this weekend.

anyone have pictures of the brackets and how much lower they hang?

Curious to see how much ground clearance they take away.

Dont want to cut rocker panels and will need some sort of step once lift kit goes on... did not like where the nfabs with the Ride spacers ended up
