Deleting spare tire

I am getting a full size spare and mounting it on the rear bumper of the truck, I will also be deleting the factory spare tire and wheel. I have heard this tire also has a TPMS, so will deleting the tire trigger the light? If I install the new tire with TPMS will the system still monitor the sensor?

I believe it will as the receiver searches for 5 signals (1/ea tire).

Why not swap the sensor out of the OEM spare into your replacement spare?
Or do the TPMS bypass mod if the light bugs you.

Yes it will. You'll want to put the TPMS sensor that is in the spare now in the new spare and then you'll be fine. The tire shop should be able to do this easily.

Yes. They have a respectable range.

They will pick it up fine as long as you use registered sensors in all 5 wheels.

My 5 TPMS mounted wheels are sitting 10-12 feet away from the 4runner, not mounted to 4runner.
Seems to register off the car and that far away...weird. No TPMS light.
Can make it to town and back without the light coming on, about 20 miles.

They're wireless, you'll be fine

Easiest just to do the TPMS Delete.
