Sorry guys I was in texas and not keeping up with all the forums as I try to.

It's still something we want to do, we just need to find time. We are interviewing more welders and fabricators today to help with our current lead times on current projects.

We can't really give a lead time on a project like this until we have some time to sort it out. What would help us from this point is the following.

A list of people who would be willing to pay 3000 for a rear swing out bumper starting price, meaning add on's and options will increase the price. We really need two list, one of people who are ready with in a couple weeks to purchase and another list of people ready with in a year or so to purchase.
 
I will be ready within the year. I have my list of items for my build and the order of purchases has, lately, been driven by group buys. That said, the rear bumper could happen sooner rather than later.

I would need to see your design, and how it compares to the others on the market before committing fully. But within a year I definitely hope to have a rear bumper. 3000.00 seems expensive as a starting price though, as you said it does not include add-ons such as jerry can holders. I won't compare you to others on the market, but the pricing is a fair bit lower. I think 3000.00 would be a fair price for a fully built, with all options bumper. My 0.02
 
Ok folks, Demello is asking for info and all I'm hearing is crickets. His request is not that you will buy his bumper it's more along the lines that yes I will be buying or will be ready to buy a rear bumper for my 4th gen soon or within a year. In other words, Demello will focus more attention on this if there is a larger demand for sooner rather than later. If you don't respond, then don't later piss and moan on t4r.org that the 4th gen gets no love. My 2.314 cents.
 
I'm in for a bumper in the next year. (by summer 2019) Would still love to see a render or mock up of any ideas Jason or the fab team can come up with.
 
I am sure Jason would do something if he had more commitment than "I'm in". I would have loved to gone with a matching DO rear bumper but there wasn't any way I could get my truck to him an be without for a week or so. I think it will take somebody actually stepping up and working with them, including a donated truck and $$.

I mean, he's not really providing anything more substantial from his end. People aren't going to throw down money at a design that doesn't exist. If there was a prototype, there might be more interest or commitment.

He's saying "yeah I might make one" and people are saying "yeah I might buy one."
 
No Demello for you!

I've been a member on here since 2007 (stalker since 2006) and a Demello rear bumper has come up once before and nothing came up of it. So it looks like its not going to happen. Plus, if Demello wanted to make a rear bumper for the 4th Gen, he would have a long time ago.
 
Yeah , I agree. I’m a little disappointed in Demello. Still love their products, but he seemed super flakey about doing this, and has left us all hanging here. Not impressed. If he didn’t want to build this, why not just say so, instead of ghosting from the thread.

Sorry guys for wasting your time creating this thread. I actually thought I could get something going. At least we have quite a few other good fabricators making 4th Gen products now
 
I don't think he is being flakey. Did anybody talk to him about a specific bumper and offer to take them their truck for building? Just because he didn't come and camp out in this thread to hold your hand through the process you are lashing out on them?......lol. Like I said earlier in the thread.....somebody would probably need to commit to the project instead of just saying "i'm interested".

Excuse me? Hold my hand?

I contacted Jason on multiple occasions, linked him to this thread numerous times, got a pretty large list of people interested, people offered to have him use their vehicle for fitment and prototyping, and invested my time in trying to make this happen.

In return we got absolutely NOTHING. No design, no response to those interested, no time frame, no information to move forward. It's clear he's not interested in this project, and that's fine, but just say so.

As another person, accurately said. People are saying "ya I might buy one" when he is saying "ya, I might make one."


If anything I feel like I've had to hold his hand through this whole process, and encourage responses the whole way through, but go ahead [MENTION=165]momo.75[/MENTION] , continue to give your 0.02 from the peanut gallery if it makes you feel tough....
