The sliders are actually ready for production. The only problem we for see is the sliders fitting with the KDSS. We need a 4runner for a week with KDSS so we can change our brackets around a little"

Looks good...are they going to be bolt on or weld?

Also, what did you use to trim the rocker panels so that they would fit?

These are bolt on and the vehicle is still at his shop waiting on the front bumper. I didnt do the install so I wouldnt know exactly what they used but there are a couple of guys here that have cut the plastic on this forum. Or you can call Jason at his shop and ask.

@ Dlak - stopped by Jason's shop today to check out the work being done on your truck. Your patience will be rewarded! I have been very patient with my slider choice because of the damned rocker panel issue.

Jason's customization of the LTD/SR5 rocker panel is very clean and professional yet the size was minimized significantly so the sliders can function as they should and seat close to the frame. There are 4 mounting arms to the frame and he custom drilled holes on the brackets to match the OEM frame holes (so no drilling required).

Each slider weighs about 44 lbs and sticks out far enough to be a legitimate step, they even sit a bit lower than the other sliders on the market because the rocker panel is still attached (my wife will be very happy:banana:)

Needless to say, after seeing your truck I placed my order with Jason on the spot! I removed the chrome accents on my rocker panels so I can paint them black and Jason will customize mine just like he did yours. I should have them in a couple weeks. Thanks again for your courage, like me, others will be very appreciative!

They look great. One suggestion. You might consider lengthening them a little to make them flush with the front wheel well, or adding an integrated plate to protect the body from road debris. I hate running boards (like my stock ones). But, they do protect the body from dirt and rocks thrown by the tires. I know mud flaps can be added. But, who likes the look of after market mud flaps?
 
Is the first pic of the sliders on top of the finished 5th gen bumper??? Looks sweet from the ground, I can't wait to see it on the truck! (hoping its better than ARB!!!)

Negative, that's the FJ bumper I believe, the 5th gen bumper is almost finished.

Wow thanks for the pics! I havnt seen my truck in 6 weeks aside from little teaser pics posted by Jason here and there. I'm glad and relieved you like the work he did on the truck, although I had no doubt about Jasons work. FYI I also needed the sliders to be usable as steps because of the wife. I read your report out loud to her so I think she can last a little bit longer without the truck knowing things are coming out good. Thanks again for reporting your findings.

Any news on sliders for the TE. I've talked the wife into buying for my BD but need to know all my options, RR,SW or DM.
 
I need to get mine repainted. I bought some Rocky Road sliders and I havent even banged them up and they are chipping and rusting. I am in Southern California. I would feel bad for anyone in any harsh weather states. Really sorta bummed that they are doing this. Looks like Demello puts a nice coat on theirs.

He needs a TE in the shop to move the brackets around a bit. So if anyone is local around so-cal maybe you can work out a deal. I have not talked to Jason lately so maybe he already got a TE tester since we last spoke. Just call Demello and ask KC or Jason..

The sliders have an extra thick coating on them and I have wheeled the heck out of my truck (still look brand new) They also have 4 mount points which makes them extra strong. Highly recommended sliders!
 
I would probably trade out my RR for some Demello for no cost. Not too happy with the result. If they want to use my truck that is fine.
 
^My Demello sliders are also holding up great. As Dlak said, the powdercoat finish is thick that the sliders look brand new even with the abuse I've put them through. Give Jason a call or stop by his shop and see what he can offer you. He can fabricate custom products, he just needs to know what you want.

Do the Demello work well for the little ladies? or same as the other sliders, purely a slider. It looks like it has an extra half inch or close...
 
Bringing this back from the archives.....

Demello offroad never released any sliders for purchase,is that correct? I'm also curious as to why he never made the front bumper for the 5th Gen 4runner into production? It looks killer!
