I saw that, commented, and then went and looked at my front end. I've concluded that there is no way to avoid hacking away at all the plastic. Not just the front fascia but all the stuff around the wheels, and the stuff connecting the fascia to the skid plates. Which seems like a giant PITA unless they build it to replace all that in one go.

How do they do it on other models? I thought the same thing, it's like an entire new piece or pieces has to be molded to replace the old one no longer needed.

Is this what's done normally, like on older Gens?

All those splash guards get the ax. And they have some work to do, but i think they just threw the FJ bumper on to see how it fit.

x2

All the plastic goes away and they form the bumper to flow with the body lines. Demello bumpers are usually one solid piece. They do great work as well.

You can do that with a ARB and a Shrockworks to a certain extent but I hear that the Demello's have quite a bit thinner metal than the ARB and SW.

Good to know, I definitely want something that can cream a deer. Not that I want to, but I'd rather it be the deer than me :ak472:

oh man am I excited, that looks EXCELLENT, very low profile which is exactly what I want in a bumper...

when its done id love to see how the hub to fender changes, finally weight etc, but man does that look like I will be buying a bumper sooon.

Isn't that a Limited in the picture?

Wow! The low profile gets the win! Can't wait to see the finished product. Glad I have a limited!

The bumper will work with all of them, the bumpers are just a plastic cover over practically nothing, so SR5, trail, it wont matter, we will all have the same mounts and all still have to cut our plastic covers...
