I've had amazing luck since I bought my 4runner almost 3yrs ago until this week. I never thrown a code or had a singleissue, even after the lift 2 years ago. Now i threw a po440, replaced the gas cap, still throwing code. And then passenger sideinner Cv boot started puking all over the undercarriage. I order the rebuild kit from Toyota and while waiting for the part to arrive the drivers side split too. Wtf, I just got my LBJ's in so I could avoid that catastrophe and the whole front enddesides to implode while I'm saving up for icon coil overs and camburg uca's

yeah dude....stuff like that happens! I've been trying to save for some new Tail lights, but a new Alternator and muffler put that project on the back burner.......

lol.

Yep. When I was saving to get my car painted, my water pump took a **** while at work and ended up doing that and the timing belt and stuff after only 50k miles on it. It was an aftermarket water pump that the previous owner had put in. Would have cost me a crap load more from the dealer but I did it myself.

I thought that muffler was a free replacement?

Free muffler......not so free install.....only cost me like $25.00 for the install though.....

Now I'm looking to do my Timing belt in the next couple of months...so the tail lights might be taking the back burner again.....lol!

Sorry to hear. But, if you're lifted, your CV boots won't last forever. Especially if they are original. And I wouldn't call your CV boots splitting "the whole front end imploding". lol Much MUCH worse things could happen.

agreed. but it seems that way when i have never had a single issue. it seems odd that both boots split within a week of each other.

on a side note, i just depleted my account to get the coilovers and uca's. just as a reward for all the hell the trucks been given me.

sorry man i hate when crap all happens at once like that. for that code i think its just a simple "clean the MAF sensor", i ran some Lucas fuel treatment, and then reset the code and it should be good after that!
