Yes, although that has sometimes taken the ability to move through playlists away from the radio & steering wheel, requiring a reset. Hopefully this will be addressed in the firmware update.

Just spoke to Jessie at Dension....she said they have Ice Links that are compatible with the single-JBL units and that by next week they will have parts from Hungry that will make all the 4Runner models compatible with the Ice Link. She quoted me $199- for the single-JBL unit model, but noted that a she'll likely honor group buys next week for $20- less.

Works with NAV
Hi Guys-
Just got my 4Runner 10 days ago and I love it. I have 2005 Limited V8 with nav and ordered the Ice-Link last week. I installed it last night and it works fine with the nav. I have text support, but the disc name will sometimes display the artist info wrong if I am playing a playlist with different artists. The sound quality is great and the stering wheel controls work. I am going to investigate to see if I can add XM as well. I'll try to get a pic of the NAV screen interface soon. I've been lurking on the board for a few days and this seems like a great forum for 4th Gens. I've posted a few times on Yotatech and it is a good resource, but this forum seems much more focused on the newer 4runners. I'll post pics of the new ride and stats in the main forum soon...

When I spoke with Jessie at Dension, she said she was shipping the product to Best Buy as well. You could get your iPod and ice link in one stop, just be sure to get the new video iPod

Finally!!
Hello All. I'm new to this forum and wanted to say hello. I just bought an 05 T4R 2 weeks ago and have been hunting high and low for an interface that works with the in dash 6 disc changer. I just got off the phone with Jessie today and ordered the new Dension Ice Link with the firmware update. I'm hoping to get it by early next week and that it works. I'm dying without my ipod!

Jessie from Dension said she was shipping it out on thursday and it should arrive early next week. As soon as I get it I'm putting it right in and taking it for a test drive. I'll keep you guys posted on how well this works...if at all.
I paid $209 for the unit...delivered to my door.
Jessie mentioned that she may be doing a group buy in the very near future. She mentioned something about being a sponsor on the forum first and if there's enough interest she'll do it. I had to get mine now because I'm dying without my ipod. But for those who can wait you may save a few bucks with a group buy.

I have the JBL Synthesis 10 speaker system with 6 disc in dash changer.
I ordered the Dension Ice Link Plus (item code I20-Toyota-R) along with the dock cable for the Nano (item code ICE-Link Ipod...).
Dension says that this is the latest version with the updated firmware. This should support text display and full function of the Ipod.
Let's hope it works!!!

I got my Ice Link in the mail today and just finished installing the unit...IT WORKS!!!!
Installation was a breeze...it took me about 15-20 min to take the front panels off to access the rear of the HU...just follow the link on this forum. I followed it step by step.
I'm able to access music files via the HU or directly through the Ipod. Steering wheel controls still work...sound quality is awesome. The HU does display artist, song title, or time...but not in an automatic scrolling pattern. You have to click on the "TEXT" button on the HU and scroll through to artist OR title OR time.
Please let me know if anyone needs me to answer any specific questions. I'm so excited about having my Ipod working in the car I'm sure I've left out some details.
