I have a non-California emissions, 2000 T4R. Always buy my 02's from Amazon. The Denso part number I have (for the 2000) is for both FORE and AFT sensors. Denso 234-4162 (Both sensors the same) Also, my rig is an automatic with 4WD (Limited) with the 3.4L (5VZFE)

Engine? V6 is 234-4162 in front and 234-4154 in back.
What's your mileage? Is rear sensor original? If not, how long has it been in there?

I ALWAYS REPLACE BOTH just as a precaution. Also, Amazon usually has very good prices on these. You can get two denso from them for the cost of one from the dealer.....
V6. 167.000 miles. No idea how long they have been on there

When I used Amazon's "part matching" feature, it gave me two different part numbers for FORE and AFT. I did lots of research and found they were both the same on mine. Perhaps for your year, make and model, they may have two different part numbers.....been running two of the same part number for 12+ years and no issues at all.....you might want to check DENSO USA's website to double check....DENSO Auto Parts

Probably not original. Wait for a code from the rear. That's all they do is throw codes.

They are all the same O2 sensor and same plug on one-cat Federal systems; the only difference is wire length. So a lot of "wrong" sensors will work just fine as long as the wire is long enough.

You may need new nuts, depending on salt exposure. M8-1.25 stainless.

Totally agree with TheDurk on the nut issue. I had to replace the four nuts (two per sensor) on my rig as they were rusted beyond further use. I actually went to the effort (and expense) to get mine from the dealer (EXPENSIVE!) but you can get the same nuts (in stainless steel) from your local Fastenal dealer).....don't ask me how I know this.....let's just call it a "lesson learned".....LOL

Measure the length of the wire on the old one before you order the new one.
I once had wire length matching issues when trying to get a new Denso for a previous Toyota vehicle.

You can try picking up a few cheapo deep sockets at Harbor Freight or similar. Go one size down, and pound it on with a hammer. Turn it with a cheater until it rounds off. Get the next size down, rinse and repeat until it surrenders or there is nothing left. Worked for me, eventually I finished up with a wire brush for the last pieces.
