Depth of Seat Cushion

I am thinking about replacing my FX35 with a 4Runner ('06 or '07) but the one thing that holds me back is how uncomfortable my mom's 2001 4Runner is. Part of why her '01 is so uncomfortable is because the seat cushions are not deep enough and do a poor job of supporting thighs, and I am only of average height at 5'10".

Can someone please measure the depth of the driver's seat cushion as well as the rear seat cushion on the 4th Generation? The cushions look slightly deeper than the '01 I am familiar with...

I'm not sure how the 3rd Gen compares to the latest 4th Gen but I did initially find the seats in my '04 were shorter than my previous vehicle. It wasn't a show stopper to getting a T4R and I got used to it over time.
Best way to find out for yourself is to take a test drive.

I test drove two on Monday, the seats seem better than the '01 but I think they are still shorter than my Infiniti's seats. The driver's seat in my Infiniti is 20" deep and my mom's '01 4Runner is 18", if I had to guess the 4th generation is right in the middle at around 19" but I just want confirmation, and the dealer is too far away just to measure the seat.

It's about 19-20", depending on how far back reclinded the seats are. But even then, with the seat more upright it still has 19".

I'm 6'1", I find the passenger seat to be lacking thigh support due to the lack of height adjustment. The driverside is fine with the front part of the cushion set half way from its highest. If your mom's 4Runner has the height adjustment, try raising it and see if that makes a different.
