Now that's funny! And you're not too far off...lol.

And they filmed "chicken man's" house at one of our friend's home (we watched them film "Walt" taking the call in the middle of the street at night) and Hank's house was two doors down from another friend of ours. Got a great pic of Brain Cranston (Walt) posing with my kid during a shoot too!

That roof rack and light bar combo is amazing. You have inspired me to spend more money towards my own rig. Good thing I am a newly single guy, so more money to spend towards the truck!

How long did it take to get the Gobi Rack in? Their website says it will take 4-6 weeks.

Thanks Veet Skeet! Anything I can do to help others spend more money on their rig is a good thing in my sick mind...lol.

I ordered the rack through Trail Duty and they stated on their website that delivery would take 4-6 weeks. Once my online order was processed with the options I wanted (a couple of days), I was notified that the rack would be shipped within 4 weeks.

It arrived in 5 weeks and 4 days not that anyone was counting...lol. So the 4-6 week delivery date that they advertise played out.

This past Friday I drove my 4runner to work where 90% of the guys I work with drive Yota 4x4's. Any way long story short one of the guys who hates 5th gen's saw it and then drove it and quickly changed his mind. Then during lunch I dropped a bomb on him and showed him your build. Today he left early to go to the Toyota dealership to make a deal on a silver TE. lol

great build! It's exactly what I want to do to mine. Looking for a little advice. Do you know if I could put those rims on with smaller tires to get away not doing a lift? Unfortunately, the 2013 Silver LE I picked up in April is my wife's daily driver and she said yes to the lift but not until we hit 36k miles but I don't want to wait on the rims!

Interestingly enough, another member put on some 18-inch Ultra Gauntlets with a -12mm offset and 265/65R18 Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires without a lift. It looks a little stuffed without a lift, but it still looks great. He mentions that they rub a little on the fender liner and the mudflap so he probably had to trim some. That's perfect. Thank you. After showing my wife your set up she liked it and gave me the go ahead and do what you've done to yours! I can't believe it really.
Only after I get our 2006 SE sold and I've been holding off selling it because it has the V8 and I was going to make that into my dedicated camping 4X4 offroader. she said it's either the old 4runner or my 2011 shelby gt500 and that ones not an option! So thanks for the great write up on your build!

I think my next mod is a dash camera for continuous recording during normal driving, but also of high enough quality (1920x1080p) to capture off road excursion shots. I think the norm is about 30 FPS, but also want decent night vision.

I am not a video person by any stretch of the imagination so can only go by reviews, but am thinking about the Finevu CR-500HD with 16gb Full HD Record Black Box Recorder/Camera with 1920x1080p@30fps and Sony CMOS Sensor.



Also found this one that is ranked as one the top 5 for 2014; the DOD LS300W / GT300W . It uses the "wide dynamic range" format to produce higher quality videos especially under low light conditions, and has higher bit rate than most that also improves the picture quality. It is pretty compact but has a 2.7" viewing screen,140-degree angle of view, loop recording, time and date stamp, motion detection recording function (parking mode), and automatic G-sensor impact data protection but needs a memory card.

Yeah, I know....my problem is I keeping going back to the awesome shots being shown by [MENTION=66300]Intruder[/MENTION], [MENTION=89562]bimrunner[/MENTION], [MENTION=78273]Jeremy556[/MENTION], [MENTION=77842]EasylyConfused[/MENTION], and so many others that make me want to post too....lol. But I am not going to have any cool "new" shots until I can get out off-roading myself (soon, I hope).

But I'll stop posting if it's getting annoying! :pout:
