Diagnostics Help Needed - Sputtering

I am going to be changing the plugs and wires soon along with the valve gasket seals and I wanted to know if there is something I should look into while I have the top part of the engine in pieces.

I had an intermittent issue starting 2 months ago, which is now more frequent. When I start the truck, it fires up fine but has a sputter or shutter occasionally, like a sudden and very quick loss of fuel and you can feel it run back through the tail pipe. It is almost as if the engine kind of misses for a split second. The sound like I am rapidly tapping the gas lightly but the engine goes down a little more in idle than it should.

Once I move the car, it gets a little worse and then stops once it can shift at 35mph. I put some injector cleaner in and then replaced the fuel filter a week later. When it happened again, I pressed on the gas a little harder before reaching 35, it threw a code for a cylinder 4 misfire. Not sure if this is related to the sputter because at the time I had a check engine for my bank 2 O2 sensor. I have since replaced that.

It doesn't have this issue when I leave work or anytime while I drive it but in the last few weeks I notice if I accelerate suddenly verses smoothly, it sputters really bad until I let off the gas some. It also does the sputter every morning and I have to baby it leaving the neighborhood and get up to 35 and then I am good for the day given I don't have to get on the gas too hard.

Any ideas? Is it a bad pump? Will it be resolved when I replace the plugs? A bad fuel relay? Or worse, is it the fuel injectors?

Plugs/wires sure could help a condition like this, maybe.

I'd also suggest cleaning the MAF. Do these 3 things before moving on. I'd also check for any pending CEL codes. Luck. :cowboy:
