Did anyone get a 4runner but previously was driving a RAM truck?

You did not have any issues, because you don't drive like a dumb ass. Most of the people that are off the road think that because they are in 4 wheel drive they are immune to ice.

Or if you're like me... you pulled off to the side of the road in a blizzard to take a piss and didn't realize you accidentally high-centered the 4Runner on the packed snow/ice from the plows, then the 4Runners slides a little over the edge (because the road is the high spot in that particular area) and your big meaty 35's are spinning!

The cop that pulled over to check on me was like, "that thing looks pretty capable, I'm surprised you got stuck!" I just smiled and shrugged, "she does fine when I'm not being a dumb ass!"

Own a '07 Megacab with a deleted and tuned 6.7 Cummins.

TOTALLY different platforms and purposes....


But my truck hauls and pulls for s living and DD once in a while. It also makes my Runner look dumb in power...it puts down 495/945 ft. lbs to the wheels on the race tune...needs a built tranny to hold the power!



But in the end....has more room, has a bed, quality is not in par but not junk, 93k on it no issues, I'll buy another in 8 years once this one hits 200k.



Can't honestly compare them.

If it makes you feel any better, my supervisor has been doing off road recovery for over 20 years. In that time he has never had to pull a 4runner out of anything. Hes seen plenty of them out in the woods and off road on trails but never had to recover one.

Meanwhile we have both pulled multiple other vehicles, rams included, out of the shit.

I've attached a picture of a 2500 4x4 i had to pull out of a ditch because it slid off the road with 4x4 engaged. Many other vehicles, including my tow truck had no issues.

Tires play a large role here. My 4runner is pretty stout with armor, lockers, etc, but when it was all stock other than 265 Duratracs, it would run circles around its current state on snowy roads.
