Did I goof....

So I decided to take apart my headlights by using the oven method to heat up the silicone. Instead of actually painting the chrome I put two coats of plastidip that way it is removable if I ever need to.

My initial thought was to put the pieces back into the oven to remelt the silicone and seal them back together however I'm worried I'm going to melt the plastidip.

TL;DR - Will 10 minutes in a 250 degree oven melt plastidip?

Oven and plastidip wouldn't be a good day. Just push them back together and use a heat gun to soften the adhesive and push them back together. Siliconne bead the exterior. Done

I'd be surprised if the dip will hold up to the temp of the inside of the headlights but I guess time will tell

I read up on the specs and according to the website the dip can withstand 200 degree temperatures. It did perfectly fine in the oven however when I now have a blown HID bulb so I must have banged it against something. Very annoying that normal auto stores don't sell them and I have to go to a specialty store tomorrow

Just an update

Dip has help up perfectly. I usually run my lights during the day so they have been exposed for to high HID heat for long periods of time
