Did I make a Good Decision?

For about 3 months Ive been contemplating which lift to get, and money issues kept on popping up. But i decided to buy a 2" front spacer off of ebay for $60. Lemme get your opinions on that.

Not sure on the eBay spacers, but they all do the same thing so I don't think it's too bad. Is the spacer 2" thick or does it give 2" lift?
 
Is it solid plastic, metal or rubberish? You cant go too wrong with it, since all it does is lift up 2".

Are you planning to put some spacers in the rears too? cos by adding 2" front, you might be nose-high.
 
also do you know of anyone on here with extra FJ springs? i heard someone got some for free and i was just thinkin about that right now.
 
Those spacers look pretty good, I was looking at them the other day. With those spacers fj springs will be a little much. Your best bet for the springs is fjcruiserforums.com, ebay, or craigslist.

I think that "galactic 04" is happy with his results. After seeing his post, I went out to the garage and jacked the front of mine up 2" to see how it sat. I thought this it looked pretty good and am considering this as an option... I'm also considering waiting to ditch XREAS if taxes are good to me. :wink2:

so he has a 2" front spacers and FJ springs? can you send a link of a picture?
 
Galactic 04 used only the 2" spacer, not the FJ springs. You will get .5-1" of lift from the front FJ springs depending on your 4runner (v6 or v8, 2wd or 4wd) on top of what the spacer gets. I got 1.5" on mine. Check out the link in my sig for pics. To each his own, but anything close to or above 2" on stock rear just doesn't do it for me.

Look up member euy, he used a 1" thick spacer and FJ springs, didn't take him long to order a rear spacer to get it where it needed to be. You may be able to find pics of his before the rear spacer.

Sorry... the OP had added the comments about the FJ coils while I was looking up "galactic 04's" thread. As stated above, he added the 2" spacer on the stock coils.

That's the exact one I have. Look for my old thread for details on the install. It works fine for me! This is all stock with the 2" spacer just like you have. It's actually 1" thick and gives you a 2" lift at the front end.

It's just a milled aluminum spacer... can't go wrong with that! Put this on then see if you think you need the FJ coils. I think you'll be plenty happy with just this, I am.

it still sort of looks like its a little slanted downward to me. i have an 2003 v8 2wd

if you look at the angle of the running boards, it's actually slanted up a little on the boards. The fender arch height is 1/4" difference front to back
