Did i mess up my ball joint?

I think i may have broke my new ubj..while trying to press it into the knuckle i noticed it now falls limp when laying on its side.....what do you all think?

I had a hard time moving around the stud on my new ones before installing it. Definitely not a good sign. Was those oem lbj's?

Should be stiff and hard to move. Bad ones are very lose
