Hell yeah! Bring that diesel over here and I would be the first one to buy! I prefer diesel SUV a lot more over gasoline powered weak tq SUV.

i hope they bring one to the u.s. i'd be interested in a turbo diesel suv from toyota.

Do you reside in the U.S? If so, Do you find it a little more challenging to drive a RHD vehicle in the U.S? Imagine left hand turns are difficult as you don't have as good visibility to see oncoming traffic from the right hand side of the vehicle in a left hand turn lane

Those are a couple of good reasons why Toyota USA should offer a diesel engine in the 4Runner.

That's why they don't offer Diesel in the U.S., because the point is getting more miles per gallon, and the average American consumer doesn't care much about fuel economy.
What are you talking about??? The average US consumer cares about fuel economy to the point that there has been a major paradigm shift in the US auto market making fuel economy a top priority.Offroader said:

Well, compare the vehicles used in Europe with the ones used in the U.S.A.
In Europe, you rarely find a 6-Cylinder, the average cars are small Diesel hatchback or super-small diesel hatchbacks. 4-Cylinder, of course.
In the U.S., the average car is an overweight, oversized, gasoline V6.
The average American consumer's motto is "If I can afford it, who cares?", and everyone wants to have a bigger car, so in case of a collision, it completely destroys the adversary, hence the popularity of SUV behemoths.
