In light of the new engine announced for the 2016 Tacoma, thought I'd share this for anyone who hasn't seen it. Though it might be old news. Do you think this will really happen?
If 4runners/Tacomas got a diesel option, do you think the tow capacity would increase? Not trying to flame here, I'd still take a 4runner over these options. Would you pay the premium for a diesel? Is Diesel the solution to CAFE fleet emissions requirements?

In case you didn't know (I didn't) the Grand Cherokee already offers a 3.0 diesel option with a tow capacity of 7400 lbs and 30 MPG highway:

Chevy Colorado ZR2 is rumored to go into production with front and rear electronic lockers, Duramax 2.8L, and a factory lift for 2016 as well:
