I was having work done at a local shop. (The shop is extremely reputable in this area. And they only work on Honda and Toyota.) Anyway, I went ahead and had them change the differential and t-case fluid. (I had them put Amsoil Severe Gear in.) This was a week or two ago, and I meant to ask this sooner, but I brought them 7 quarts. I had looked it up in the manuel, and it needed around 6.2-6.3 quarts. So, I was expecting to have some left. They didn't put the left over fluid in the truck, so I went in to ask them for what was left. He went back and asked the tech. He said that it took almost the entire 7 quarts. There was a little bit left, but not enough to mess with. I thought…Hmmmm.
So, my questions is: Did I calculate wrong? Did they overfill all or one of the above? If so, will it matter? I know it can't be as risky as overfilling the transmission, but I don't want to damage anything.
Thank you! :thanks:
