MPH vs KPH, Running boards on limited in CAN., Limited badging in USA not in Canada. You can get the sliding tray in USA on most models only the TE in Canada. Dealers here give you a line about better alternators(?), and other larger fluid containers due to winter weather. Guess they don't realize winter comes to parts of USA as well. Some interior colors I believe are different in the Limited. I have the silver/black leather interior, but here in Canada they claim tan and graphite. I have yet to see one on a lot to compare. I have not seen any differences in bumpers of bumper colors on the Limiteds here. I didhave an issue with the gov't inspection upon importing from the US. CdnTire does the federal inspection in Canada and the tech wouldn't accept the DRL, he made me change them to the low beams. Funny thing though, I see 2-3 Cdn. bought 2010 4runners around town with the same DRL that i had. Go figure, just another 150$ tax so that I could get my RIV sticker to place inside the drivers door to show its legally imported to Canada. Also I have yet to figure out the info displays to switch to KM from miles for the fuel to empty and mileage. Not really an issue since miles/km's work for me either way. Thinks thats about it. Oh one more thing the dealers here in both Alta. and Ont. have yet to tell me anything about the TSB that is posted in the US about the tranny lag and hard shifting...??

Attached are Cdn pics.

- Looks like front and rear bumpers are different. The are higher. Almost seem TE-ish but color-keyed with chrome strip.
- Cdn model does not appear to have chrome strip on sides.
- Does not have chrome door handles, they are color-keyed in Canada.
- 4r rear logo and front grill bar are black like US's TE.
- Fog light surrounds seem color-keyed or black for Canada, opposed to chrome.
- No turn signals in side mirror apparently.

Someone correct any of the above if I'm wrong.

Yes it seems that the US SR5 have extra body molding with a chrome strip where the running boards are at , or am I seeing things. Looks like the running boards on the pic above won't fit on a US SR5 , or will they?

The US SR5 has the limited exterior, so it has the longer side skirts and longer bumpers, which have the chrome bits.* The Canadian SR5 is, for all practical purposes, the TE exterior. It is missing a front bumper piece, but that is about it. Wheels are different, obviously.

* note to LBLarry - that isn't a chrome strip on the Canadian SR5. It is just a reflection in the picture.

Is there any way to remove the side skirts and install the Canadian running boards ? When you add running boards to a US model it looks like it will almost scrape going over a speed bump . It makes them sit way too low compared to the Can model, I,ll try and post a pic of what I mean .

Here is someone that removed their sideskirts.

The only problem is that you are left with an abrupt stop where the fender flares previously integrated into the sideskirt. That would drive me up the wall on my BP T4R. It isn't as noticable on a darker color, it appears.

You could probably get the TE sideskirt, have it painted, and get the higher riding running boards that come on the CAN models.

You mean by the TE side skirt the whole black fender flares with mudflaps , just like the Can SR5 . I didn't realise the TE had Side Skirts I thought they were the same set up as the Canadian SR 5.
