Hello out there again. I have a 90 (2nd gen) 4runner sr5, v6, auto trans(A340H). I recently lost all my gears while driving down the highway accept for first and reverse. It never slipped and has always had good clean fluid with regular changes and filters. I have no idea what caused this problem or how to track it down and fix it short of throwing another trans into it. I DO NOT belive the tranny is bad it seems like an electrical issue but I am not sure. What I need to know is if the transmission out a 96 sr5 4runner will fit and work in my 90 sr5 4runner, And/or if there is any ways to track down the issue that has developed with the trans that is in it.
Absolutely any tips, hint's, advice, or knowledge will help. I am in Southern alaska and the snow will be sticking on the ground any day now and I can't let this rig sit as a yard ornament this year. Please help. Thanks
