Digital clock

The Digital clock in my 1999 4Runner Limited is acting funny. Sometimes it displays, sometimes it doesn't. This started happening about a month ago. Is this a common problem and how easy/hard is it to fix?

I've got a 99 too and mine is completely not working.

and... my auto ac (limited) is possessed any ideas guys?

The Digital clock in my 1999 4Runner Limited is acting funny. Sometimes it displays, sometimes it doesn't. This started happening about a month ago. Is this a common problem and how easy/hard is it to fix?

I just bought a used replacement clock a few months back off a 97 and now it is starting to do the same thing. when it goes out I just flick it hard with my finger in the plastic front display and most of the time it comes right back on buy sometimes its not as bright or fades in and out. I guess I will go looking again once it fails to come back on but not sure what the problem is, maybe a bad switch board or condensation from the air conditioning?

I hear you--but this was a 100% green fresh newbie and I had these saved anyway. Some great forums have search functions that are horrendous: e.g. saabnet, roadfly(BMW's), my tractor board. The one here works pretty well, but it's unusual compared to other car boards I've been on. I figure some people show up here just expecting Search not to work.
