Dim ceiling light..

The ceiling light in my recently purchased 1996 4Runner SR5 seems to be very dim. Is it safe to look for a brighter bulb to put in there, or will that cause problems with heat?

Any suggestions appreciated!

Care to tell us what size/thickness to order? My truck's currently in the shop getting serviced so I can't measure it today!

We both have third gens so the size might be different.

I personally ordered the ultra thin one.

I was going to get the 2" by 2" in Cool White, but they were sold out and it was going to be another three weeks at the earliest so I settled for the 1.5" by 1.5".

It is a huge difference.

I ordered this one:

1 x Rigid 5mm LED Dome Light - Warm White, Small = $12.99

It shipped the same day. Got it yesterday and installed it in about 30 seconds.

It is awesome. An order of magnitude brighter. I highly recommend it to anyone else with the issue.
