Dim Headlights?

on my 94 ive got really dim headlights. Any suggestions? thanks.

I agree with n8buddy, also there may be a problem with the electrical system for the headlights. Any other problems as far as electric?

no everything else works. i was reading on the silvania ultra silverstars and people say they dont last long. ???

OK, have they always been like this or is it a new development?
If it's new have your battery and alternator checked.

they were pretty dim that i noticed it when i got it 4 weeks ago. i bought it from my cousin and he had just put in a new battery the day i picked it up. it started raining today and it seemed like they got dimmer and dimmer by the end of the day but im not fo sho.

There might be some damages to the wires, because if they indeed did get dimmer as it rained all day then there must be some sort of a problem with the wires going to the lights.

Or they were getting dimmer because they were running off of the battery, because the alternator wasn't charging the battery.

But on the subject of damage wires, it could be that one of the system ground wires is corroded.

Yea I didn't think of that, but yea, maybe get the alternator tested.

Silverstars

I plan to put in the silverstars on mine as well but they told me today that the ones that are on my truck are sealed beams so I cannot change the bulbs.. so I guess I will have to change them over.
