Can’t really tell, do they have covers?
Also how did you adjust them? Do you have to keep taking off/on the bumper every time to adjust the aim on them?

Im not sure what you mean by covers ? I never took the bumper off to install them they bolt on in original holes

I also have a pair of DD SS3 pro yellow fogs. No covers, the lens is yellow and the diodes are specific for the yellow fogs. I have an aftermarket bumper so adjusting the fogs required loosening the small screw on each side of the light just a little, aim, tighten the screw, check aim, rinse and repeat a few times.

No covers. They should be pretty sealed in there with the LEDs.

I adjust from the front once they’re installed. I mean, you could tighten them down to survive a tornado but I still have some play on mines.

Forgot to mention: there is a splash cover on the passenger side that is a pain to get off.

If you are doing the install with the bumper on the truck, best way to loosen the cover is to play with the tab through the front as exhibited below.

These are so easy to install. Pull back fender liner. Less than 5 minutes total.

Having installed more than a few sets of these, it's quick, but it's realistically more like 30 minutes. Removing the "hood" over the passenger side can take a few minutes unless you've done it before.

Sorry maybe when I start taking off the oem fogs it’ll make more sense. In Snowtrooper’s post you can see how the oem fogs have that lens/cover. I’m guessing that’s all part of the oem fogs? The SS3 fogs I’m guessing doesn’t have a lens/cover like the oem ones?

It will. The cover you are referencing in the photo is part of the bumper assembly, not the fog lights. The fog lights simply sit behind.

Yeah I guess that thing did take awhile. I removed it and never put it back.

Ah ok, so you can still use the lens to cover the SS3 fogs then...thank you!

Unless I’m mistaken, I believe the OP is referring to the black fog light surround, not a lens.

No. The old fogs are a single assembly

The SS3 have a cover over the LEDs. Should be flat glass. If you can touch the LEDs.. you are missing the lense

The "cover" is built in to the unit.. it's the yellow shield. You could apply a film or something if you really wanted to protect the fogs I guess.

Yeah mine have the flat yellow lens with the ridges. I guess I wasn't expecting the LEDs/lens to sit so deep inside the housing. Whereas on the oem fogs, the lens lines right up to the black ring from the front bumper. Also I noticed on the box it says 'Covers Available'. So I was a bit confused. Have you guys noticed any chips/pits yet on them? It seems pretty durable. Thanks for the feedback and help!

I know this an older post but I am looking to order these fogs but my 4runner already has factory LED lights, Will these fit mine? Mine is a 2023 TRD off road premium.
