disable 2001 running lights on my runner?

There should be a big resistor bolted to the fender next to the battery. Unplug it and DRL's are done

oh man i was once like you... i didn't want to cut any wires either but you gotta understand Toyota didn't make it an option to have these or not. that is why there is no button to turn them off. You gotta "mod the system" so to say to make it work to your liking.

If you absolutely want to disable them you gotta cut the wire. Its not going to affect anything. I've done it and nothing bad has happened. My truck didn't even say ouch when i cut it. Just do this and you have the option of having them back just like that!
