Disable DRL

I thought for sure this was discussed somewhere but i can't seem to find it. Can anyone tell me how to disable my DRLs, assuming it's possible. I really don't like that I'm forced to drive around w/ orange marker lights. If i want my lights on during the day i will turn them on.

It is done at the dealer with the hand held Toyota scan tool, I had mine done when it was new.

I would definitely go the way of having the dealer do it, since it doesn't require any changes to the truck's wiring. If your truck came with DRL's, then it's just an on/off setting in the body computer. There is a thread around that explains how to replace the relay that controls the circuit, if you'd rather go that route.

A dealer will charge you for making this change by itself, but some are cool about doing it for free if you are going there for other service work at the same time.

Go to the dealer and have them disable it with the scan tool. That's what I did.
