I think you just need to be more patient. When I first came here, I noticed that sometimes a thread didn't move for an entire day. While there are a lot of members on this forum, many don't seem to login every day, so questions may not get answered for days.
A simple 'bump' of your own thread is acceptable if it moves to far down the list without an answer.
I agree it's a different forum that most, but I think over time, you'd find we're kind of like a small family here.

Many probably read the OP's thread, but didn't answer because they don't want to give the wrong information or information their not certain of. Take a look at the some of the modded and heavily modded 4Runners on this site; the owners are regulars here sharing their knowledge.
On the other the hand, there are a couple with too much time on their hands and will reply to every post.
Just need to have a little patience and a knowledgable member will answer.

Another thing is you need to keep your post simple and to the point and not ask too many questions all at once or people will just bypass your thread and go onto the next one, people browse this forum in a casual manner and dont want to put a huge effort into answering anyones posts and also make sure the question you are asking is clear.
Anyways, welcome to the forum should you choose to stay and take advantage of the wealth of information.
